Business Builder for Print
Business Builder for Print is a trading name of
Steam Software, who have been trading for over six years with clients including WH Smith, Continental Tyres, Toni&Guy and St Tropez.
Steam are the authors and primary vendors of
Business Builder, modular business applications in the broad sales and marketing management area. Established over eight years and privately owned, unusually for a software business Steam is profitable with no long term debt. A partnership agreement is being developed with British Telecom.
Steam host and support 99% of systems on our own dedicated servers. Existing modules include basic
contact management,
campaign management, outbound price tracking,
print process management from supplier enquiry to proof tracking and delivery fulfilment, CRM, Ecommerce, customer and supplier portals and
graphical analysis of data either from within the systems or providing a single view of analytics from multiple legacy systems. This means any investment in Business Builder to meet a specific need now is not wasted when your business needs change later.
Business Builder combines leading edge technology and world class functionality with the exciting new world of true “on-demand” web based infrastructure allowing both Pay-as-you-go pricing and “Virtual” capability. Our state of the art technology means that full function applications, every bit as powerful as traditional applications, exist entirely in the internet environment and are accessed via a URL, effectively just like you’d access a web address. This means you can use our product in the same way as any other website; connect to the internet, use your ID and password and you are off, with no additional software (like Terminal Server) or plug ins to install. The website recognises who you are, which data and functionality is yours, what access levels you have and probably runs faster than your local office desktop applications. Equally, Business Builder allows access from handheld devices like Blackberry’s or http enabled or text based mobile phones and has Outlook integration available if required. Although additional modules which not everyone will need, this existing functionality may make data input and updating much easier for account managers in the future.
Although we pride ourselves on our position at the leading edge of technology, our primary driver and our clearest differentiation is a passion for delivering tangible, cost effective commercial benefit for our clients. We are providing business led not technology led solutions and world class technology is our enabler.
Our technology is comprehensive, resilient, robust, secure and highly available. We achieve this through excellence in two core areas; our applications and our infrastructure.
Each customer can have unique screens, workflow and data without any additional maintenance overhead or associated vulnerability. Your login will interpret; user, company, security level and application and construct and de-construct both screen and data formats respectively before interacting with the functional modules of the Business Builder for Print system.
Our “on-demand” infrastructure is fundamental to the availability, resilience & security of our solutions and provides genuine anytime, anywhere, anyhow application provision. Steam products all sit within Data Centres on the core of the internet backbone in Canary Wharf.
